8/12 medium ripe figs
2/3 handfuls of peeled almonds
left over of the recommended wine for “drunk figs”
Recommended wine: Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze D.O.C.G.
Finely chop the almonds and keep aside. Wash the figs and gently peel. Cut into wedges and put half in a large bowl to soak in plenty of wine Cartizze for at least half an hour, then drain. Dial individual plates by placing the slices in a radial pattern of figs, alternating those “drunk” to those not steeped in wine; sprinkle with chopped almonds and serve at room temperature without passing them in the refrigerator.
